If you are a reloader you can expect to pay about
$14 per pound of powder that will charge 1,000 cases with 7gr charge.
$31 per thousand primers...
$50 for 50 pounds of wheel weight lead will cast over a thousand slugs.
__________________________________________________ _______

You pay about $95 to recharge a thousand rounds of .50GI ammo.

At that rate you will pay $1.90 for 20 rounds.

If you are just starting out you need to add $0.39 for each .50GI case which will last for at least 10 reloads.

If you scrounge your own lead from gas stations or the backstop at your gun range your cost for primers and power will be $45 per 1,000 reloads.

So by reloading 2000 rounds of your own ammo, you theoretically would have avoided spending about $3,200 on store bought .50GI ammo. That savings could be pumped back into the purchase of another Guncrafter work of art.

Think of the Lee 6 cavity mold as a tool to turn lead into gold.

Rationalize until you feel good then quit!

Ross Seyfried cast and shot 2000 lb of bullets in 1981 on the way to winning the World IPSC Championship!

If he was shooting .50GI ammo he would have saved $68,000.

It's not the money, it's the satisfaction. Otherwise, we would all shoot .22.

CCI mini mag ammo is $8 for a hundred cartridges at my local hardware store.
One hundred Reloaded 255grSWC .50GI cartridges costs me less than $10 to make.
I have shot my High Standard Supermatic Citation twice since I got my Guncrafter Model #3. Nothing brings on a smile like hitting a tin can with a 50GI.
