I am gald to have run across this site, as I love the 50GI (and have the Glock conversion on the way) I also have built an Encore (pics in a day or so) to do load testing with, also as a hobby I swedge lead and jacketed bullets that I hope to test also. I hope with the Glock conversion the 50 GI will take off. When I ordered my conversion I suggested to Alex that they think about doing a conversion for the Glock 30 and 36.

That is so cool and I bet it is a lot of fun to shoot. Very nice stock work.

To clarify, is the barrel from here, OTT, LLC (http://www.ottllc.com/)? And the stocks from here Ole Georgia Jim (http://www.olegeorgiajim.com/)?

As 475AR has kindly, in a matter of speaking, paid for the "prototype," I bet they can both reproduce these parts with ease.

Yes, that is both of them, I should have put the links to their sites. Mike @ OTT was going to make a GI bbl for himself last I knew and the stocks are a standard product from Ole Georga Jim ( in many other colors also) I will be loading some ammo in the next week or so and will let you know how it shoots.

Thanks, yes it could be pushed but that is not what the GI is for. As for hunting, no plans to use the GI, as I have other handguns I would use. This Encore was built for load testing since when it was made the only GI was $$$ I have since got the Glock 21 conversion but none of the indoor ranges in town will allow any 50 cal to be fired in them.

i don't necessarily know if i'd call it pushing the round. more like matching the performance potential to the platform.

just went up and shot my g21 conversion for the first time earlier this afternoon. -13* up here in MT so the shooting sessions were short. minute of milk jug with the two 275 and 300 factory loads at 20 paces in that temp, so i was happy enough. we'll fine tune things and get a load worked up when things warm up a bit. i may up performance levels a bit in this glock and use on a hog hunt this spring but we'll see. it may find itself a ways back in line thought with the .500s&wmag, .50ae, .45winmag, .44, .454 and the .375supermag needing to be bloodied.
