Default 50GI AR-15 Uppers Review (Suppressor Test pg 3)

I have been working with Ron Williams of RMW Xtreme INC on using the 50GI cartridge in the AR-15 and I am happy to say that it works and works very well. I have 2 of these uppers and both are 100% reliable, we have many different mag systems for them, pps 43 (the system on my 8" Registered SBR)

and converted AR-15 mags as used on the 15" upper with perm muzzle device to make it legal 16.1".

The pps mags hold 14 rounds and the converted 30 round AR-15 mags hold 9 rounds, the pps mags require a mag block that is inserted into the standard 223 mag well from the top. The loads I had made up were built with the 275gr HP and AutoComp powder, I have used 300gr bullets and Unique and groups are as good or better. Shooting @ 25yds groups ran about 2-2.25" (it was a hot day today and I have shot groups as tight as 1" with the 8" upper)
    15" upper @ 25yds 275gr AutoComp load going 1235fps.

    8" upper @ 25yds 275gr Autocomp load going 1110fps.

In our testing some factory ammo can be used but this is a handloaders dream using AutoComp and Unique they both burn 100% and are very clean in the gun. (there is a pic of the factory 185gr load out of the 8" upper in the Something fun thread) Recoil is very mild and fun to shoot, today we were shooting steel plates @ 50yds and if we did our part we hit them every time.

These uppers can be ordered almost any way you want, the standard 16" with 1 converted AR-15 mag is $750 + any options you want and shipping to you.

Please feel free to im me for information.
Thanks 50Master for allowing me to post this information as I feel the AR-15 is a great platform for the 50GI.
