    "The technology was developed in the 1990s by Todd Lizotte and Orest Ohar for the computer technology industry and has the intent to "Provide[s] Make, Model, and Tracking Number At The Crime Scene". It is currently patented by Mr. Lizotte and owned by ID Dynamics". I suppose they could wait until the current patent expires.
